Francine was the IFSA World Freeskiing Champion in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Earlier on, competing was the focus for Francine, first alpine racing where she was a member of the Swiss Junior National Team, then Big Mountain on both snowboard and skis. She has also taken part in a number of ski films, but the most viewers she has had was for her stunts in the James Bond film “The World Is Not Enough”.
2011 Freeride World Champion and long-time World Cup skier Janette Hargin is a remarkable all-round skier. Born and bred in Stockholm to a skiing-crazy family along with little brother Mattias (successful World Cup slalom skier) and sister Christine (FWT winner 2012), Janette skied every chance she got. Nowadays she lives in the Norwegian mountains where she keeps busy with both freeriding and ski touring.
Is a radiant ski patroller in Verbier with a passion for the mountains. She is very all-round with ascents like the Walker spur on the Grand Jorasses and descents like the Marinelli couloir on her tick list. She is one of our closest friends and we love to spend time with her in the snow.
The word enthusiast is an understatement when it comes to Janne. He spends eight months a year on skis. Skiing both for himself as well as coaching the most talented young mogul skiers in Sweden. It doesn’t matter what the weather is, Janne is on the mountain, skiing in incredible style, quite often in front of the lenses of Mattias Fredriksson or Gösta Fries and we can see the results of this on the covers of various ski magazines.
Ilir Osmani is from Val d’Illiez in the Portes du Soleil, Switzerland, and spends most of his winters making tracks on mountains all over the world. One of his favourite spots is Spitsbergen where he had base camp in an igloo on the glacier for two weeks last spring. Ilir has been developing and testing Movement skis for the past thirteen years.
Sven has spent the last 20 years traveling the globe skiing for the world’s best photographers. Sven has landed thousands of published images and more than 50 covers. Sven lives in Durango, Colorado where he spends a majority of his time earning his turns in the rugged San Juan Mountains. While not one to turn down heli-drop or tram laps in the Alps he says that, “Dropping in from the summit of a peak you climbed under your own horsepower is priceless”.
A UIAGM mountain guide in Verbier for the last 15 years. His profession and his personal passion are behind Jeff having been on more mountains that most people, from skiing Norway’s fjords via the snow of Turkey to the highest peaks in South America. Back home in the Alps, in addition to skiing a countless number of ski areas, he has guided heliskiing tours and been on 55 peaks over 4000m in the Alps.
UIAGM mountain guide and head of all guiding at Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain. Johan is a strong skier, something that his background as Biathlon Junior World Champion has surely helped with. There aren’t many people who are faster up and down the mountain than Johan.
Is another of our favorite people to ski with. By laughing out loud ever so often she brings a really positive vibe to the group whilst skiing. Sara works part time, as a coach for a ski racing academy in Åre, a job that allows her to go freeriding almost every day. Sometimes she gets a whim to compete in the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships, which usually results in a podium position.
Hanna’s positive personality is visible when you see her skiing. The energy is transformed into pure joy for skiing. She is stoked. Already as a 15-year-old Hanna skied in her first ski movie, Live a Little, with Kaj Zackrisson and Sverre’s Liliequist. During the winter when she’s not up skiing you are most likely to find her at Åre Skidsport where she works as a boot fitter.
Former ski racer based in Åre who nowadays has been competing in the Freeride World Qualifier Tour with podiums and a second place at the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships 2013. He is hands down one of the best freeskiers we have ever seen!
Tobias lives in Engelberg, Switzerland with his wife and four kids. He is the ski bum who used to play ice hockey professionally. During all his years in Chamonix he played for both Chamonix Hockey Club and HC Mont Blanc l’Avalanche. Tobbe is a great skier with an amazing fitness level. Ludvig was born and raised in Åre. He has been a member of the Swedish Freestyle Ski Team since 2011. He won a gold medal in the junior world championships in 2013, and made the finals of the Olympics in Sochi. All though he has skied his entire life he has always been torn between skiing and his passion for music. These days he’s focusing on the Olympics 2018.
Even though Erik’s nickname is Demonen – the Demon – he is by far one of the most likeable and humble guys you’re likely to meet in the ski world. Still, some years ago, people in Åre started seeing ski tracks in the most radical places, but no one ever saw the skier… the talk of the town was that it had to be a demon. Hence the nickname. Most people who have skied with Erik rank him as the best they’ve seen.
He did two years on the FWT, with eighth overall as his best result. But it is when he freeskis on his home mountain that he really shines, as when he is truly free he takes skiing to a whole other level.
Felix was born raised in Malmö in the southern part of Sweden. But these days Åre is his basecamp when he’s not travelling the world with Swedish Freestyle Ski Team. In 2014 he was 3:d in the European Cup. Felix has an aggressive yet playful style when skiing, you can tell that he has tons of fun every time he skis.
Hedda is a very talented skier still in high school. Every second out of school are spent on the mountain with a pair of skis under the feet. Born in Stockholm but the passion for skiing brought her to Åre. Follow her rise on the free ride scene.
Olle is a truly positive soul who believes that the more the merrier is true also on powder days. When not in high school you will find him on the mountain as long as there is daylight. Olle grew up in Åre and he is some one to follow for the future.
