Design and material choices are crucial to making garments that last from season to season, year to year. This is why we work with suppliers who we trust to deliver high-quality fabrics that meet our demands for functionality, durability and sustainability. Information about our suppliers and their fabrics is provided below.
Compared to previous generations, the Gore-Tex Pro laminate we now use has improved durability and 28 per cent increased breathability. Combined with the reliability of its waterproofing and windproofing, this results in better comfort in a wider range of conditions.
High-performance face fabrics, paired with the patented Micro Grid Backer technology for high internal abrasion resistance, bring a new level of comfort and protection into the world of the most rugged and breathable Gore-Tex Pro products. Gore uses solution dye for the backing, which reduces CO2 emissions and the amounts of water and chemicals used in the production phase.
Gore-Tex two-layer products offer breathable comfort and durable waterproof and windproof protection. In the two-layer construction, a Gore-Tex membrane is bonded to a soft, high-performance face fabric and then protected on the inside with a separate lining.
Most Gore-Tex durable water repellent (DWR) finishes are PFCec1 free, and Gore-Tex’ goal is for all their fabrics to be PFCec free by the end of 2023.
1 PFCec = PFC of Environmental Concern. Read more about PFC on:

We have developed the Elevenate Performance Standard (EPS) to help our customers select high-quality technical materials. All products bearing the EPS mark have been thoroughly used and abused by Elevenate’s Development Department, by us and by our Elevenate friends in the field. These garments have been put to test in every possible condition, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
EPS three layer laminates are waterproof, windproof and breathable. Shell fabrics are impregnated with a PFC-free DWR fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish prevents the outer fabric from becoming saturated, allowing the breathable barrier to do its job.
Windproof: 100%
Waterproof: at least 20,000 mm
Breathable: at least 15,000 g/m2/24h
Fully taped seams

To reinforce and protect the lower hem of our technical ski pants, we use Schoeller Keprotec reinforcement fabric, which is extremely abrasion proof and tear resistant. The fabric has a combination of high-tensile aramid fibres, such as Kevlar, and offers a high level of comfort.
Schoeller has been a Bluesign System partner since 2001, and participates in a programme aimed at actively reducing their carbon emissions and optimising energy efficiency.

Down is an extremely lightweight material with outstanding insulation properties. The down and feathers we use are plucked from non-live birds in Asia. We only use white goose down of the highest quality, so that you will keep warm for years to come. To ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to unnecessary harm we buy material certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).
Clo Eco Vivo is a microfibre composite with great performance due to its design, and is the most breathable insulation on the market today. Clo Insulation use recycled plastic bottles in their production.
The insulation in one Elevenate ski jacket is made from approximately seven recycled PET bottles.
The insulation is penetrated by a series of small holes that enhance breathability without decreasing the thermal performance of the insulation. These holes trap air, creating consistent warmth even in periods of low activity, while also allowing the air and water vapour to flow through them when body temperature increases in periods of high activity. The insulation undergoes calendaring to minimise the risk of migration and the small holes are spread across the insulation, providing a 4-way stretch that guarantees maximum comfort and freedom of movement.

Thermore Ecodown offers the advantages of a synthetic insulation, with down-like puffiness and loft. It feels extra soft, providing warm and durable insulation with freedom of movement and it has great wicking properties. Ecodown features Thermore’s exclusive fibre-migration treatment, which prolongs the insulation’s warming effects. Thermore is manufactured with respect for both animals and the environment.
The Ecodown is made from 100% recycled fibre from post-consumer PET bottles. As many as ten recycled bottles have been reused in each garment. Thermore are Bluesign-certified and hold a Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification.

Products made from Tecnostretch are ideal as high-performance mid layers. They have a durable outer surface and a warm, insulating inner surface. They are fast drying and the stretch provides excellent fit.
Pontetorto fabrics are both Bluesign and Oekotex 100 certified. The recycled polyester is made from PET bottles that are primarily collected from beaches and landfills.

Fellex Insulations, by Ziran Nonwoven who is one of the leading manufacturers of synthetic insulation in China. All products are Bluesign® APPROVED.
PrimaLoft® Black Insulation RISE delivers an aesthetic alternative to natural down, while providing best-in-class durability and resilience for long-lasting performance. It is a high-performance insulation made from 100% post-consumer recycled material.
PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Active+ is a breathable insulation that contains 55% post-consumer recycled material. It is migration-resistant while also offering an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio.
Polartec® Alpha is a military-developed and active insulation fabric. The lofted fibers provide grat warmth, transport vapor, and can be in direct contact with skin or other fabric layers. A perfect midweight, stop-and-go option in cold conditions.
Merino fibers are extremely fine and far more flexible than traditional, coarser wool fibers, which is what makes Merino wool feel soft and luxuriously gentle next to your skin. It is natural and biodegradable, with natural elasticity that allows Merino wool garments to follow your movements and stretch with you yet return to their original shape. The fibers can absorb large quantities of moisture vapor and then transport it to evaporate into the air. Merino is an active fiber that reacts to changes in body temperature, helping you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot.
Lambswool is fine and soft against your skin. We use it for heavy knit sweaters because it withstands the test of time.
